Cindy Blackstock, executive director of First Nations Child and Family Caring Society, said Friday that the federal government’s appeal of a ruling to compensate First Nations children was Ottawa asking for an order to “quash all compensation”, which she says would leave the decision of whether to compensate up to Ottawa.
