Cindy Blackstock, executive director of First Nations Child and Family Caring Society, said Friday she was “flabbergasted” by the government appealing the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal ruling to give compensation to First Nations children. She added it was disappointing to see this decision after “all the rhetoric” about reconciliation.
