B.C. Legions want exemption from property taxes

Royal Canadian Legions are struggling to pay high property taxes. Some branches in Victoria and on the lower mainland facing bills above $100 thousand.
Some municipalities offer tax breaks or exemptions to the service clubs, but Legion members want provincial wide legislation that would exempt them from paying the tax.
