This year’s Lock and Paddle, taking place at the Peterborough Lift Lock, will be held Saturday evening, and Parks Canada spokesperson Karen Feeley says they want to light up the lock. Paddlers are encouraged to afix lights to their canoes or kayaks, to help brighten the canal as they make their way to the lock.
