U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Senator Kirsten Gillibrand commented on the death of accused sex trafficker and financier Jeffrey Epstein on Aug. 10 at the Everytown Gun Sense Forum in Des Moines, Iowa. She said that while it must have felt troubling to be accused of such “troubling crimes,” it would have been “good for him to face justice.” Epstein died by apparent suicide while in his jail cell.
