A three-pronged approach is best for protecting vulnerable seniors in long-term health-care facilities from potentially dangerous caregivers, said the commissioner for the Elizabeth Wettlaufer inquiry, Eileen Gillese, on July 31. Those three prongs for long-term care homes are: having a medication management system in place, improve medication incident analysis and increase the number of registered staff.
