The difficulty with diagnosing Canadians with Lyme disease
Description
July 2, 2019
Lyme disease is an infection Canadians will likely start hearing about more and more thanks to climate change. Warmer temperatures allow ticks - that carry the disease - to survive but the medical system may not be ready to cope. Left untreated -- Lyme disease can lead to serious neurological problems and even heart damage and as Heather Yourex-West reports -- these problems are being misdiagnosed.
