Amanda Beaudry heard a child relentlessly screaming on Saturday morning outside her Kelowna ground-floor apartment.
When she investigated, she found a two-year-old boy lying beside the backyard fence of the neighbouring unit.
He had sustained a head injury, she said, but he was alert, scared and screaming.
Beaudry would later learn the boy had fell from a third-floor balcony above.
