After touring a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility in Alamogordo, New Mexico on Monday, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) said that the CBP is “woefully under-equipped in terms of medical care.” Castro led a delegation to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of 8-year-old Felipe Gomez Alonzo, of Guatemala, in CBP custody.
