A donor's human heart was left aboard a Southwest airlines flight bound for Seattle when the organ on ice was mistakenly kept in the cargo hold during the connecting flight to Dallas. Luckily the life-saving tissue was delivered within the 48-hour window of viability when the pilot diverted back to Seattle, but left other passengers onboard with a 5-hour delay.
