Illinois Senator Dick Durbin and Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona both urged President Donald Trump to refrain from forcing a partial shutdown of the U.S. government over funding to build a wall along the Mexico border, saying there were bipartisan ways for Washington to secure its borders without investing in an expensive fence.
