‘That Never Happened’ documents Canada’s secret WWI internment camps
Description
November 13, 2018
The documentary "That Never Happened" reveals the story of Canada's very first internment camps during World War One, when thousands of Ukrainians were imprisoned simply for being born in the Austria-Hungary Empire. All records of the camps were destroyed in the 1950s, but in the 1980s some brave people worked to expose the truth. Andrew Hladyshevsky joined Erin Chalmers with further details.
