Earlier this week, Google's self-driving car research company got permission to start testing vehicles on California roads, without drivers, for the first time. But for two years, engineers at the University of Waterloo have been developing Canadian-made technology to help cars navigate roads without someone behind the wheel. Sean O'Shea reports.
