Local residents swam through muddy waters to collect relief bags dropped from a helicopter by members of India’s Air Force on Saturday as areas of Kerala still remained submerged in muddy waters after floods hit the southern Indian state. The combined death toll from floods and landslides since the start of the rainy season is at 324, with more than two million people forced to move into relief camps.
