Tennessee executed it’s first inmate in a decade Thursday night. Bill Ray Irick was sentenced to death for the rape and murder of 7-year-old Paula Dyer in Knox County, Tennessee. Associated Press reporter Jonathan Mattise described his final moments and the words he delivered before being given a lethal injection.
