Trump says NATO was ‘essentially going out of business’ before he took office

During a Monday joint news conference with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. was being treated unfairly because it was shouldering 70 to 90 per cent of the cost of NATO.
