Ontario village out to prove it’s much more than just “the road to cottage country”

There’s life beyond Highway #7, on the road to cottage country, and that’s exactly what the Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township will boast at a community-wide style “open house”. Like many towns and villages, it’s become a thoroughfare for commuters and cottagers, with traffic never veering off the main drag. So Havelock , east of Peterborough Ontario, will “open its doors” to visitors and residents alike. It’s along the lines of a Grand Season Opening, with dozens of business alongside community groups setting up shop together in the village arena. May 12th in Havelock.
