An elderly Penticton woman’s remains were not found despite two extensive searches in the debris of her burned down home.
But the desire for closure prompted the fire chief to return to the fire scene today off Skaha Lake to personally sift through the ashes.
The woman is believed to have been in the lakeshore home when it was engulfed in flames before collapsing.
Shelby Thom reports on search efforts and how neighbours are coping with their own loss.
