Mi'kmaq across Nova Scotia celebrated Treaty Day Saturday, marking the day the Peace and Friendship Treaty was signed between the British and the Mi'kmaq Nation. It's a time for the Mi'kmaq government and Crown to renew the commitments made in the treaty. As Marieke Walsh explains, Treaty Day has moved from a day of protest to a day of celebration.
