The Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Concept was built in large part by Irish immigrants to Saint John in the 1850’s. As Global’s Andrew Cromwell reports, St. Patrick’s week celebrations in the port city got underway with a concert benefitting a major restoration project at the venerable church.
