Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand provided a detailed timeline of the altercation between former CFL player Joe McKnight and his alleged shooter, 54-year-old Ronald Gasser. According to Normand, the suspect was irritated McKnight had cut him off while they were both driving and “set out after” McKnight. Normand also added that in a statement Gasser said he was fearful of McKnight and the threats the ex-football player made towards him.
