Volcanic eruption creates new island off the coast of Japan

The volcanic island Nishinoshima is now 12 times larger since the eruption in November 2013, enlarging an island created by lava flow in 1973. Japanese Coast Guards returned to see the island just south of Tokyo, and discovered plant and sea life in the area.
