Voters in the tree-lined middle-class community of Chicago were able to cast their votes Tuesday for a woman some refer to as their ‘hometown heroine.” Her name was Hillary Rodham then, and she was 16 when she ran her first race, for high school council president in her hometown of Park Ridge, Illinois.
