A Louisville corrections officer was suspended on Wednesday after he posted a meme onto his personal Facebook page that said "if we really wanted you dead, all we'd have to do is stop patrolling your neighborhoods... and wait." The Director of the Louisville Metro Corrections Department Mark Bolton says the post from officer Derek Hale was "associated with blatant racial bias."
