Bay Ferries won’t release ticket sales for the Yarmouth ferry

Thu, May 19: Bay Ferries says it won’t release ticket sales for the Yarmouth ferry service, and the Liberal government says it didn’t negotiate releasing sales or passenger numbers during contract talks. The government based its $23.3 million subsidy for the ferry on it having a ridership of 60,000 passengers, if it doesn’t meet that target taxpayers could be on the hook for more. Global’s legislative reporter Marieke Walsh has the story.
