Cross Lake First Nation struggles with high number of suicides in 1999

Cross Lake First Nation in northern Manitoba declared a state of emergency on Wednesday after six suicides in two months. This isn’t the first time the community has dealt with a suicide crisis. Global News covered the issue back in 1999.
