1 dead, 8 injured in pair of weekend B.C. avalanches

Ambulance helicopters transported several people to hospital, with one in critical condition, following a pair of avalanches in British Columbia over the weekend. Avalanche Canada had issued a warning for southern and southeast portion of the province on Friday.
