Five charged after Unity, Sask. home invasion

UNITY, Sask. – Five men have been charged after a home invasion on the weekend in Unity, Sask.
Unity RCMP say the men barged into the home Saturday afternoon and sprayed bear mace in the basement.
Two men and a woman suffered minor injuries and one man was struck by a bottle. They all refused medical treatment.
Police say it was not a random attack and that some of the accused know the victims.
Around 2 p.m. Saturday, Mounties made a high-risk takedown of a vehicle entering Lloydminster on Highway 16 and four men wanted in the home invasion were arrested.
Matthew Meleshko, 24, of Vermillion, Alta. is facing five charges including assault with a weapon.
Catlin Thomas, 24, of Vermillion, Alta. is facing seven charges including assault with a weapon and possession a prohibited weapon.
Dakoda Foeller, 22, of Lloydminster, Sask. is facing six charges including assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
Jason Johnson, 28, of Lloydminster, Sask. is facing four charges including assault with a weapon.
All have made their first court appearance.
A fifth person, Austin Beckley, 21, from Unity was arrested on Monday and is facing four charges including break, enter and committing an assault with a weapon.
Beckley is scheduled to appear Tuesday morning in North Battleford provincial court.

UNITY, Sask. – Five men have been charged after a home invasion on the weekend in Unity, Sask.
Unity RCMP say the men barged into the home Saturday afternoon and sprayed bear mace in the basement.
Two men and a woman suffered minor injuries and one man was struck by a bottle. They all refused medical treatment.
