NS patients spread awareness of Spinal CSF Leaks
Description
June 3, 2026
It’s a condition known to affect about 40 people per million – but due to frequent misdiagnoses, could affect many more. On Wednesday evening, Halifax City Hall and Province House lit-up purple for the first time in honour of patients living with intracranial hypotension caused by spinal CSF leaks. The debilitating neurological condition is severely underdiagnosed, and experts say a lack of research makes spreading awareness essential. Ella Macdonald reports.
