Liberals hold slim 3% lead over Conservatives in latest Ipsos poll

The Liberals hold a slim three point lead over the Conservatives in the latest Ipsos polling, similar to the results of the last Canadian federal election. Asked if they would want another election in 2026, 40 per cent of respondents said yes, while 38 per cent said no and 22 per cent said they didn’t know. “The people who are most insistent on an election are people who are actually voting for the opposition parties,” Ipsos CEO Darrell Bricker told Global News.
