In early August, a semi-truck collided with the underside of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge in Lethbridge. In an instant, the road that transports 50,000 vehicles per day was closed. While it partially reopened shortly after, several lanes remained blocked. Only this month did all lanes finally reopen, but as Justin Sibbet reports, the reduced speed limits from that complicated era will continue permanently.
