It was a patty party at Agave By Imperial restaurant on Monday, celebrating the winners of the United Way Peterborough & District’s inaugural ‘Ultimate Burger Battle.’
Throughout the month of November, eight area restaurants offered their ‘bun’ in a million burger creations to raise funds for the United Way.
The battle brought in more than $2,000 for the organization’s programs and initiatives.
After tastings, voting and judging, Agave By Imperial’s Spicy Cien Fuegos creation took home the “Ultimate Burger of the Year Award.”
The “United Way Burger” from Pizza Villa & Pasta House in Bridgenorth was voted the People’s Choice Ultimate Burger and Double DZ’s Diner sold the most burgers in the competition – providing more than 200 patties.
