Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Monday that the Canadian economy over the past three months is seeing “some encouraging results.” Carney pointed to 181,000 new jobs created in that same span of time. He added that unemployment has fallen from 7.1 per cent to 6.5 per cent with average wages rising faster than inflation in every month of 2025.
