Mini horse ‘Nugget’ brings joy to seniors after surviving near-fatal dog attack

A rescued miniature horse named Nugget is beginning therapy visits after a dramatic midnight rescue from a First Nations reserve. Volunteers say the seven-week-old foal was minutes from death after being mauled by a dog, dehydrated and unable to eat on her own. Now recovering and already a social-media favourite, Nugget is making her first visit to a seniors home as she trains to become a therapy animal.
