Canadian grocery bills looking like ‘Clark Griswold’s electricity bill,’ Conservatives say

On Thursday during question period in the House of Commons, Conservatives slammed Liberals for grocery prices “climbing and getting worse.” This comes after Canada’s Food Price Report warns Canadians to brace for even higher food costs next year, with rising prices in multiple sectors set to continue putting pressure on household grocery budgets. “After 10 years of this Liberal government, Canadians’ grocery bills look less like a Christmas list and more like Clark Griswold’s electricity bill,” said Conservative Member of Oshawa, Rhonda Kirkland.
