Toronto couple made a promise to their daughter with ultra-rare disease

Laura Devlin and Chris Hunsburger launched the Penny’s Promise Fund after their daughter Penny was diagnosed with an ultra-rare disease. The fund is dedicated to advancing life-changing research for Selenon-Related Myopathy – a rare genetic condition caused by mutations in the Selenon gene important for normal muscle contraction.
