Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberal government has cleared another hurdle, surviving a second confidence vote on its 2025 budget. The Bloc Quebecois motion proposing amendments to the spending plan was defeated after the Liberals and Conservatives voted against it, while the Bloc and NDP voted in favour.
