Harvest Hootenanny connects community in Halifax

Haligonians gathered at the Common Roots BiHi Urban Farm, celebrating the season’s harvest with live music, free vegetarian meal, pumpkin smashing, and more. Organizers also highlighted the completion of a new solar-powered cold storage facility – a project aimed at improving year-round access to local produce and reducing food waste in the HRM.
