A new report finds the gap in customer satisfaction between Canada’s ‘big five’ banks and mid-sized lenders is widening. The survey by J.D. Power shows that satisfaction with the country’s five biggest lenders fell seven points from last year to 604, on a 1,000-point scale. This compared with a five-point increase in customer satisfaction when it comes to smaller banks. Nivrita Ganguly has this story and more in Business Matters for Oct. 16, 2025.
