Tuesday is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. In recent years, a lot of work has been done in the name of reconciliation — one example is a partnership between United Way of the Alberta Capital Region and NiGiNan Housing Ventures.
United Way is supporting the organization to help build culturally sensitive supportive housing for Indigenous people.
Rob Yager, the president and CEO of the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region, and Keri Cardinal, the CEO of NiGiNan Housing Ventures joined Global News Morning Edmonton to talk about the partnership.
