September 25, 2025
An estimated 105,000 people aged five years and older were diagnosed with a concussion in Canadian emergency departments during fiscal year 2023-2024. This week is designed to provide information, encourage action, and ensure that everyone understands the seriousness of this type of brain injury. Dr. Matthew Galati, a brain injury survivor and founder of Brain Changes Initiatives, discusses the importance of Concussion Awareness Week with Miranda Anthistle.
