Justice minister reads out sentencing under hate bill, identifies ‘hateful’ symbols

Justice Minister Sean Fraser read out the potential sentencing guidelines that would be used under the new hate crime legislation tabled on Friday. He also outlined what symbols would be considered “hateful” under the bill, including the Nazi swastika and symbols associated with listed terrorist organizations like Hamas.
