United Nations (UN) peacekeepers survived a close call Tuesday, after the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) dropped four grenades – via drone – southwest of Lebanon’s Marwahin village. Addressing the matter Thursday, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric called the IDF’s actions “completely unacceptable,” condemning the military group after he claimed it was previously informed that UNIFIL personnel would be conducting work in the area.
