A Vancouver police officer with connections to Chinatown is behind a new initiative to bring colour and culture back to the neighbourhood. It’s called Project Muralize, and it commissions artists to create murals on empty walls and storefront shutters. As Kirsten Robinson reports, the officer was inspired by what he saw in San Francisco’s Chinatown three years ago.
