Torrential rains in Venezuela have caused widespread flooding and landslides, collapsing a bridge and affecting at least five states, including Mérida, where rivers overflowed and destroyed homes. Over 270 families have been impacted in Apartaderos alone. Victims say they narrowly escaped with their lives as floodwaters rose rapidly. The government has launched a special response plan, delivering medical care and essential supplies. Despite material losses, no fatalities have been reported.
