Ontario man accused of killing girlfriend had history of assault

We’re learning more about the man accused of murdering his girlfriend and then disposing of her body through an apartment garbage system. Jeffrey Smith had a history of assault and spent time in a mental health in-patient centre. As Caryn Lieberman reports, doctors had indicated Smith posed a significant threat to the public.
