Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre said Monday that he wants to see a “warrior culture that actually inspires people to join (the military) again.” “All this is going to take money. That’s why we support getting back to two per cent (defence spending of Canada’s Gross Domestic Product),” Poilievre said. When asked about whether Canada and other NATO countries should hit spending targets of five per cent of its GDP, Poilievre questioned if “anyone” has hit that mark currently.
