At a press conference on Thursday, Manitoba officials said 27 wildfires are still burning across the province, with 12 considered out of control. More than 18,000 people have been forced from their homes, with many now in shelters or hotels across Manitoba and Ontario. Crews from across Canada and the U.S. are working around the clock to contain the fires as officials warn the threat isn’t over.
