Former deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland spoke with Global News shortly after she picked up the win in her riding of Toronto’s University-Rosedale in Monday night’s federal election. Freeland spoke about her decision to resign from Justin Trudeau’s cabinet saying she “didn’t know what would happen, but I knew it was the right thing to do. And today when I see a Liberal government re-elected, I know even more clearly, it was the right thing to do.”
