Earlier this week, Halifax Water announced the utility will be pumping a large amount of wastewater into the Halifax Harbour from 14 relief points between Fairview and downtown Halifax. They say the diversion is necessary to complete maintenance integral to their system’s operation and that this work has been approved by Environment and Climate Change Canada. But as Ella MacDonald reports, some advocates would like to see cleaner alternatives.
